w204 Facelift rear diff questions

Hi everyone. I'm about to change the oil in my rear diff after 10 years and 90k miles. A question: I've read that the Omnifit 100H sealant recommended by WIS on the threads of the drain plug is equivalent to loctite 545 hydraulic sealant. Others say you can use any medium strength threadlocker. Does anyone know what to do exactly? Omnifit 100H is impossible to find online.

And also, does anyone know if for a 2012 C200 CDI B.E. (my car), a non-AMG model, a 235.7 gear oil is fine? From WIS it's a real mess to understand exactly the oil spec.

Fuchs Titan sintopoid 75/85w from memory, capacity 1.2-1.3 L . Undo the fill plug first to check it works .
Dont use thread lock , or at least I don’t . 50nm torque on both my cars

Thank you! Yes, it should be Titan Sintopoid FE 75w85 (A0019893303), but in WIS it's a real mess to understand so I was in doubt.
Anyway for an availability issue I bought a Febi 75w85 spec 235.7. It should be good anyway

I'm looking for new filling/drain plugs. But in EPC I see only one of the two. Is it because they are identical?

I don't know. I've read quite everywhere that it's better replacing them to avoid leaks. I'd do it just to be peaceful .
I think that also WIS recommends replacing them

I’ve done both my cars 3x each without changing them with no issues . But if you can get them easily , why not

You can probably get a replacement copper/crush washer for the existing plug

Most MB’s that aren’t the 6.3’s or 4x4’s don’t have a schedule for diff oil change , maybe that’s why they don’t ?

Hello, what was the drain plug & omnifit outcome when you did the diff change? I'm about to do an oil change on my 2017 GLC43 and I got confused too by not seeing two plugs in the parts list, but then I saw the quantity was 2 for the listed one plug shown so I assumed drain and fill were the same plug and ordered two plugs, was that the case?

I am also on the fence about ordering the omnifit 100h as it's $50. Did you end up going with that or find a good/approved alternative? Thanks for any help on an older threat!

If u must use sealant, look for Indian head. Its a dark brown treacle like seant. Shud beveastvto find apply on clean threads
I have never used a torque wrench on these just tight by hand as much as u can don't need to add bar or tube to fitting tool. I just lock a std 19 spanner, ring end to existing fitting.

I did my diff. Last weekend cleaned and used the old drain plugs no problems, I had to use 14mm hex. Key just make sure the key goes all the way into mating hole in plug so as not to round off, give the holes a good scrape as they will be full of crud. Also I used a manual transfer pump similar to a hand wash dispenser to get oil in, without this the job would not have been possible. Used up 1.5lt give or take. Good luck.
