Does the grill with the big star fits on a W204 with classic grill?

I would have thought so. The basic panels will be the same, it's just the trim that differs. You could check with your dealer but Id be surprised if it didn't fit.

My thoughts too,, I buy most things for the face lift version of my car, and they fit, As jberks it is the grills that change and not the overall body.

I just go into the MB showroom and measure things up,, in the case of a grill, look to see how yours is fitted, then look on the car in the showroom

yes its a straight forward swap, you need to order the grill and the flat badge for the bonnet, i am kept really busy here at the moment retro fitting these as they seem to be the grill of choice among buyers.

grill part no. A 204 880 0023 9776
not too sure on the part number for flat badge

Please donot fit the star and the grill as it looks overly fussy.

I bought the grill on ebay today...The seller told me that the grill would fit on the car...

Can't wait to see the new grill on the benz... I was also thinking about painting the grill in black like the WALD W204.

Like this

They can look nice all black, do it properly as it will not look nice if it gets stone chipped

I have a sports grill and bonnet badge for sale that was fitted to my previous W204 SE, its an easy change to do and vastly improves the cars looks, contact me if interested. Grill was fitted for 12 months and is in as new condition.
