I want to install an Origin B2 radar detector in my new C320 CDI.
This will involve connecting the B2 to a power supply (The B2 comes with a cigarrette lighter plug, but I could remove this & hardwire it if there was a suitable connection point) & also running the GPS receiver cable from the front of the car to the rear parcel shelf.

Has anyone already installed a B2 or similar?
What is the best option for connectiing the power supply? (Use the socket in the glove compartment? or is there a neater solution?). The supply needs to be powered down when the ignition key is turned off.

What is the best route for the cable to the rear parcel shelf?
Has anyone removed the kick plates over each door sill? (That's the route I took in my last car).

Thanks in advance for your help.

you'll be hard pressed to find anyone who's taken a 204 to pieces yet so I suspect you'll be the trail blazer.
Merc kick plates are traditionally just clipped on so in theory should just pull off. As far as power is concerned, assuming the lighter socket is still switched on the 204 I'd wire into the back of that. How you get to the back though ......
