W204 Popping noise

Hi all.

I've got a bit of a nagging problem with my C240 Coupe. Whenever I brake to a stop then let off the brake pedal I can hear an almost 'popping'/'clunk' noise.

Has anybody had anything like this before? TIA

Have you had a MOT recently as i didn’t realise how in depth they test the car as saw mine shaking on their ramp and its looking to identify worn suspension components etc

maybe this would show an issue as it sounds like could be a suspension bush worn maybe

ps I’m no expert !

I suspect worn suspension bushes.
Clunks from the front on initial braking or acceleration in a straight line on smooth surface usually caster arm bushes.
Knocks on bumps, usually lower ball joints or anti-roll bar links.

Think I've got to the bottom of it all. Had a few new suspension components as the roads around here are awful.

I think the spade end of the anti roll bar may be slightly enlarged. Not sure if it's a familiar thing or just the stem of the new drop link is way too narrow
