Morning all
Ive just brought a c250 2015 and found out that theres something wrong with my temp sensor

So when the car is running it reads okay(depends on the temp outside) if am stuck traffic it goes up to 45/47 degrees the the cooling fan kicks in at full speed and engine temp drops to around 60 degrees

Also if you could let me know the location as ive checked behind drivers side foglight grill and didnt find it

Thanks

Hello and welcome,

Assuming you're not actually in someplace where it is actually +45' then I'd say the sensor is faulty - it's usually located below the bumper - little sticky out thing

Water thermostat or external air temperature?
Looking at your pic it's the external air temp that's faulty

Yeah when the outside temp goes crazy the fan starts and the engine temp drops to 60' degrees

Are you talking about the engine temp, I say your stat is naff. MB stats are made of butter. Engine temp should be near 90 constantly even when the fan kicks in.
Never had an issue with a outside air temp.
