w205 Dash Reading Same temperature all the time, sensor ok

Hello there,

I am quite new to this forum but I encountered a problem with my W205, C220 Bluetec.

The outside temperature on the dash stays the same, always 22.5 degrees Celsius. I just ran diagnostics and there is nothing wrong with the temperature sensor, it shows the correct temp at the diagnostics screen, just not in the dash screen in the car - that's always 22.5 degrees. Has anyone encountered such a problem before?

The mechanic said that it is not worth changing the whole dash for such a minor thing but it's really irritating and I would like to fix it.

Be sure the harness connections related to that sensor are all good.

some had issues with a special bit of software that enabled the diesel emission cheat - can present itself as dodgy outside ambient temp reading when its not been used for a bit

of course admittance of, rectification and warranty extension - are not features of european car sales/service, so don't expect anyone to know or fix it
