I’d take a look and see how badly it’s wearing. You can get it repaired/replaced if the rest of the car is good

I have had two C Classes with Artico (Immitation Leather) with no problems whatsoever. However the highest mileage one was only 31,000 miles so maybe not a good guide

I’m not sure mileage is important for Artico wear - more like how many times the driver gets in and out (and how big his or her ar$E is!)

I have Artico leather on my 11 year old 212, not a mark on it. But I dont have a big ar$s, or so the wife says.

Same with my 16 year old C Class and I am a big boy. Perhaps a small bony bum does more damage? Though there are some fine cracks on the arm rest/door handle drivers side. I filled them with leather repair about 4 years ago and they seem fine. You wouldn't notice them at a glance, but I always see them as I know they are there.

A merc with cloth seats, fake leather just don't seem right. And on leather the outer bolster needs redesign as even on 35k miles car the outer bolster seams show signs of stress that one may expect on 80k miles car. Sure it could be overcome

Real Leather is rare which is nice because it narrows down the field considerably .

Easily detected by it's 10 Vs 5 panels .

Leather is rare but finding people who know their A hole from their elbow is even more rare !

Some despite owning the car from new some for 8 years don't have the digital record to hand nor have a Scooby Doo about a 5 year 77,500 ATF fluid and filter change
