Hi Guys,
Has anyone ever managed to source these adapters?
I'm referring to what looks like a 50cent piece of plastic that connects the wiper arm to the blade.
Blue piece of plastic in the pic but generally speaking is black.

Both of these clips are broken on my wiper arms, suspect by a vandal.
MB tell me I need to replace entire wiper arms on both sides.
The service manager said this was indefensible but alas is unable to order the adapters alone.

Resigned to skulking around breakers yard with a plastic pry toll as I doubt they will sell them either.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Isn't that part of the blade??

look at the online vin decoders and see if the part is available separate. Some dealers do like to pull a swift one sales.

otherwise get on ebay for a car being broken, but I cant see that part being sold sepetately from a breaker as then the entire would be useless for the sake of a 50p bit pf plastic

Thanks,
The new set of blades don't come with these, it's attached to the arm.
I'd be surprised if more people haven't come across this already, these adapters could be broken easily enough when fitting replacements or by a vandal scrote.

Been all over the internet but no luck.
Some 3rd party blades also get you to remove these and fit their own adapter which is another option but I really don't want to mess with the setup. Read a few threads and wiper shudder and general noise is an issue on these cars and mine are perfect.

Never ever seen anything like it. All the mb wipers I've ever fitted simply either hook over the hook or click in type

Looks very similar to the rear wiper on my 911. The adapter came with the wiper.

I think of you get genuine merc blades there are usually no adaptors as merc know whats on the wiper arms.

Try some non merc blades, bosch or valeo the fittings might be in the box. If you have a friendly motor factors he might let you look in the box before you buy.

Cheers, the valeo and heyner replacements come with new adapters as the originals don't fit the blades.
Had a look online at pictures of the adapters that come with them but none look the same, some guys 911 is about to be missing his rear wiper, lol.

Guess I'll just go the after market route and use new adapters, appreciate the input.

I've had this car 18 months and every time I visit the dealer I feel like I'm having my pants pulled down, would this be typical of MB ownership?

The rear wiper on a 911 is a £££ option... so not many have them...;)

I have exactly the same problem on my 2017 C Class, it's disgusting that Mercedes or Bosch don't supply them. I'm trying breaker yards next. I had fitted Heyner blades but they're rubbish, Bosch are best. Good luck buddy.

Adapter arms arrived from China today, couple of things.
They took a month to get here, turns out the slow boat is still à thing.
`No discernable difference between them and the originals.
Wasn't sure when ordering if I was getting a pair or one, ordered two and got two individual adapters.
They fit perfectly on the arm and hold the blades in place as intended.

Top adapter is the original broken one, bottom is the replacement.
