Hi i am looking for some help as we have a 99 CLK320 Cabrio that on saturday decided it wasn't going to start. It just clicks when you turn the key and the engine fan comes on. Prior to this the MAF was playing up so we replaced it but then the fan started coming on and running constantly until the car was switched off (even if the car was cold). Also it the engine ECU will now not communicate with the scanner but the rest do. We have checked all the obvious things (CSS, starter motor, fuses, relays etc) but are just coming up blank at every turn. My husband is a mechanic and has worked on mercs for a lot of years but this is even stumping him and any fresh ideas would be a great help. Mercedes are NO help and just keep saying to take it to them but I really can't afford their prices and will only tow it down there as a very last resort.
