W208 Convertible

Guy has contacted me offering his non start, no MOT low miles w208 convertible.

I am guessing from what he is saying the EIS has packed up, possibly the SAM unit also corroded?

I read years ago that a company would remove a microchip from the knackered EIS and solder into the new one as a fix?

Are SAM units interchangeable without programming?

Sams can be swapped from another car on them old girls!! As for the EIS, try

replacementmercedeskeys on line, I know mark used to do them!​
