Might be a stupid question but can the facelift clocks be fitted into the older w208, and if so has any one done it? Any advice would be welcomed

Hi,
It can be done but will also involve replacing the steering wheel and the clock spring for the later car as well, there is a bit of wiring to be modified/added to and you will need to get it coded by STAR, to get full functionality.
I have seen a "HOW TO" on this mod with step by step instructions and pics somewhere either on here or the other forum.

I'm sure you could (depending on how much patience you have) remove the dials carefully from the donor binnacle and then install them to yours, but you would have to remove things gently without breaking the fine attachment points.
