I recently discovered some loose chrome trim and rubber on the top side of my rear driver side window. The carpet in the rear next to it was also damp, as it had been raining. Does anyone have any ideas?

I put the damp down to the loose trim.:?:

Sorry, have been tied up this afternoon. Can I post the number later this evening? I think it's 304, but not 100%. Can't see it on the car (getting dark) and don't have the log book with me.

My W208 Conv manages to leak from somewhere from time to time, initially I thought the sill's were filling up because the little rubber drain plugs has blocked underneath at the back but have just noticed wet carpets again even after removing the rubber drain plugs and leaving a larger drain hole.

Would appreciate your email advice TV

Just had a look and it's 347.

The clip is intact, its just the rubber and chrome holding strip that's loose.

Many thanks

Paul

Always the passenger side (left) both front and back - The drivers side has always remained dry.

The only thing listed is the front air intake box and if the drains are blocked then the passenger side will get wet

I can send you this one with a E mail address

Hi Malcolm - Stripped off all of the grill along the base of the windscreen and removed the box channel below, cleaned out the channel and couldn't believe the size of the hole for the heater fan, no wonder this thing can leak at will... As I was cleaning the drain hole on the lower right side (as you look at it) I realised that there was a small rubber plug attached to the other side and it was this plug that had blocked with goo - All I needed to do to clear the drain was stick my hand in behind the aircon box and remove the plug.. Voila!

Anyway all back together and very leak free - cheers.
