Good morning, afternoon and evening!!!
As a newbie to this I hope I'm doing this correctly!
I just recently bought a CLK 320, X reg. with 38K on the clock and full MBSH :D, everything was fine until yesterday (I have owned the car for 6 weeks) the car start to surge and die :confused:it doesn't stop running it just fidgets between gears or feels like fuel starvation... like it couldn't find the right gear or if there was a fuel supply problem or maybe even an electrical fault this happens mostly around 35 -50 mph however I also tried to rev the car at a standstill just to listen to the engine and its fine up to 4k but then it just goes er ... like well on off on off revs up and then dies etc.... it had a full service 6k ago and I am now feeling hopeless and in despair :( Can anyone help pleeeeaassseeeee

Hi. these particular engines do suffer from fuel problems there is no return on the fuel rail so any deposits or water which is very common just sits there on top of the injectors the plug leads are favorite to. best to have it plugged into a star machine. this will reveal all

Could be a crank sensor, but as MBS, best to get any fault codes read to be sure.
