Hi all
Have an issue with the central locking on my clk w209
Noticed a few times when car not been used for a couple of weeks, the central locking didn't work until the key went in ignition and turned car on, then all was good again.
Today it did it again, but this time no central locking even after car has been started.

I also have an issue with no courtesy lights, vanity lights or Puddle lights, which I had put down to faulty dome light and looking for replacement. Could the two be linked and it actually the SAM?

What do you guys think?

Thanks will take a look, I have checked fuses 8 and 9 in that fuse box and they are good although the fuse box itself had a bit of moisture on it

If the car is going to stand for weeks not used fit a smart charger, CTEK or similar.
Battery has to be A1 on these cars.
Can you leave the car connected with one of these smartchargers or do you need to disconnect the battery?

Yes you can, no requirement to disconnect the battery - I’ve 8 in use on my vehicles and don’t dispute batteries on any of them.

Hi all
Just an update on this, I have fully charged battery, and purchased a battery charger and maintainer for going foward
Everything works apart from central locking, both key fob light up but will not open the car, button on dash works for unlocking locking doors

Keyfobs will not open boot either, but button on drivers door does

Any ideas? Fuses 8, 21, 22 and 57 all fine
