W209 clk cabriolet damp footwell

I have a 2005 w209 clk cabby and just recently have noticed that the passenger footwell carpet is wet. I have looked under the bonnet under the grill and the two trays are clear of debris so I can only surmise that the water is getting in elsewhere. Does anyone have anyone have any tips on where to look next and what to do as the amount of rain we are having at the moment I don't want it to get any worse. Thanks in anticipation Andy.

The trays may be clear but are the water drains?
