CLK220 CDI (2008)
Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this forum and am hoping someone can help.
I have a 2008 (W209) MB CLK220 CDI, the folding mirrors of which are faulty.
When operated, the mirrors will fold inwards but will not fold out to the normal position. I have to manually position them. They are not locked in place and will be moved by the wind. In addition, the mirror lenses do move to some extent, but not necessarily in the direction required.
Is there a simple fix or should I take it to an auto electrician?
I'd be grateful for any ideas or help that can be offered.
Cheers

Hi and welcome. This is commonly broken wires in the door loom or mirror loom, especially if the car is configured to fold mirrors when the car is locked.

That's why I switched off the auto fold, only fold when required. The complete mirror is easy to remove. pull off speaker and undo 3 bolts and disconnect multi pin plug.
