I will post this here and see if there is any response. If not please advise me on the best place to move it to.
The problem 2 Of my injectors had leaking seals so booked in with a local specialist to get sorted. First problem not uncommon I'm told is that they were seized and the only way to remove them is to damage them. Is this correct? When the car came back it was doing 9 mpg less than when it went in. Contacted him and resulted in another injector being fitted but the mpg has not improved. What should I be saying to the specialist? My consumption has gone off by almost 25%. I need some solid advice on this one.

cdi injectors

HI

There are 1 or two possible reasons for mpg going down after injector replacment, the first and most common is that the injector classification is not enterd into the ECU under contole unit adaptations (not all CDI's have this option). The second option also quite common is the icorrect injector fitted allthough they all look the same there are 10 or 15 options that i know of.

good luck
