W210 Air con no temperature adjusment?

On my year 2000 W210 E240 with manual air con I can not regulate temperature with rotary dials,it is all ice cold for first two thirds of the adjustment,then tepid.Any ideas?

Duo-valve might be gummed up solid

Thanks,I will check it out,I have a spare duo valve from my scrapped 98 E320 if I can find it...Another issue I have is the illumination on passenger side of the dashboard stopped working,around passanger rotary wheel for temperature and around that area,is there a fuse controlling only that side of dash,or bulb needs changing?

I think it's small bulbs in there IIRC

Does the bulb sit in the temperature adjustment wheel,one with red and blue markings?

Ha,found the bulb,on the fan speed control knob,already managed to break the white plastic tab covering the bulb...now to find the tweezers...

Duo valve seems to be moving smoothly,electrical connection and wires seem ok.It seems I will just have to wear warmer clothes while air con is on

Regarding the bulb it seems to be t 286,wedge type with cap.Ordered from eBay,so we will see..

Bulbs arrived,managed to fit it,still no light,might have to check fuses...
