The air con on my w210 isn't blowing any cold air but when I turn the control wheels to max cold the air sounds as if it is being directed differently. This used to happen in my C180 and the air would get VERY cold, in fact the problem was trying to get a balance between the hot and cold. Now I am getting nothing. How do I know if the compressor is running and are there any other checks that I can make before having to bring it to someone? I have looked at other threads on the forum and the home recharge seems like a dead loss. 'Qualified technician etc.' is on the cover under the hood, took off the cover and saw what looked like an old telephone exchange, put cover back on! One final thing, how do I know if the air con is fully automatic or not?
