I thought it might be useful to have a thread for service operations we can do in the car from buttons.

I have found a few tips here and there, but they take time to find, so here are a couple, please add your own tips for the W210.

Read Automatic Climate Control Sensors
1. From Ignition Off, turn Ignition Switch to Position 2
2. Hold down Defrost + REST = read sensors (1-24)
Left Auto: Select Next Sensor (1-24)
Right Auto: Select Previous Sensor (24-1)
Number at left of display = Sensor No.
Number/Code at right of display = Sensor Reading
REST = Exit

To Activate Automatic Climate Control Motors/Flaps/Zones:
1. From Ignition Off, turn Ignition Switch to Position 2
2. Hold down Recirc + REST = Check AC motors/flaps/zones (0-15)
Number at left of display = Zone No.
Left Auto = Select/Activate next zone
Right Auto = Select/Activate LO / HI
For my car (not all tested):
0 LO = side vents
0 HI = none (mine makes a loud noise behind the glove compartment so maybe a duct hose is off)
13 LO = Left (Passenger) footwell
13 HI = as 0 HI
14 LO = Right (Driver) Footwell
14 HI = as 0 HI
3. REST = Exit

Reset Service Interval mileage
1. Ignition Position 2 but engine not running
2. Push your steering wheel display buttons to get to the Next Service display
3. Press and hold Reset button on left of instrument panel
4. Press Reset again to confirm reset when the display requests it

If I got any of this wrong or yours is different please mention it.

I forgot to say that at 4. you need to hold down the R button until the mileage resets. If you only press and release, it will not reset.

On my W210 the display shows "Service A: 13,000 miles" when it's reset.

Does anyone have any more ops for this model?
