Hi

I have a 2001 E220 CDi Facelift with two tone nappa leather heated seats. The driver bottom seat has seemed to stop working (heating) although the backrest heats fine.

What can it be?

Where should I start looking to solve the problem?

Also my B service is due soon. What will this include? Is it worth going to the dealers?

I have the rust issue on mine. If I don't use dealers (I have full history from dealers so far) will they refuse to repair it?

Sorry for asking toom many unrelated questions at once.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

There have been varied responses from MB UK regarding the rust issue, but at least your vehicle was built after Mobilo Life started. It's worth a try at least.

I think that the B service is the major one. The service book will mention what this entails.

I had limited MB service history, and they sorted out the rust (new bonnet, 2x new wings, and everything else fixed and sprayed)

Go to your most reliable MB service centre and ask them to look.... I got (and get) very good service from Harrogate. They have an associated spray shop that the man comes in each Wednesday morning (I think) - others will probably do the same, so you may need book.
