I have recently bought a '97 E320 estate. It has some rust on it in the normal places but it is not yet too serious, so i want to try and stop / slow this down before it does get worse.
Only three of the doors have some rust under the top seal. This is currently limited to a number of small spots up to about 1cm long that have started to rust back from the edge of skin that the rubber goes under. To do the job properly the door rubber needs to be removed at the top, but not sure if it is just pulled out or if it suposed to be slid out to the back or front? Would appreciate it if anyone could advise on this as the door rubbers are still in good condition and I don't want to split them by trying to remove them in the wrong way.
Thanks in advance.
