Hi All - Just had my first B service done on my E class, The car as above has just done 94,000 miles, B service went OK they charged me £398 for the service parts and labour and to change the Anti roll bar links (Indie) - But I have some questions.

1. They changed the oil, what oil should they use? fully synthetic / semi synthetic? what viscosity? 10w 30 or 10w 40?? they used semi synthetic 10w 40 for this service...is that correct.

2. They said the rear diff is leaking gear oil - They quoted me £300 to fix - does that sound about right?

3. The biggest issue - When they removed the engine cover they said the Injectors (they say injectors because they couldnt say which one) was leaking, they said as there is a leak I should change all of the injectors - They quoted £1300 to do this - £1300 IS THAT RIGHT???

This is the first time ive used this garage - they do have a good rep locally and Ive heard good reports about them but im just not sure, I mean I asked them about changing the ATF and they said the oil for the box was Very expensive and that the box fluid wont need changing as its sealed for life? we all know different dont we - also the garage is a BMW/Mercedes Indie - but I reakon they are more BMW than MERC - comments please!!!

Thanks

Matthew

I do not like the way that you post reads and I think that you are being taken for a ride, for a start all MB diffs look wet and thats normal, they are cheating you on over the injectors.

I would go down to Black C55 in Portsmouth, he is honest, a bit of a drive, but it would pay you

Thanks for your response television, I will get in touch with Black C55 to discuss what I need doing.

Can anyone confirm what oil should have been used in my car?

Thanks
