Hi! I have a facelift version of the W210 E-Class and I must change the headlights as they are completely finished (i.e. internal circuitry completely fried now from a combination of age and the Spanish sun) and I am trying to source the correct type of headlights.

I see a part number of W210 208 800 01 75 shown on the back of one part of the headlamp unit and it seems to relate to a headlamp unit on the internet but i still cannot tell if this relates to the entire headlamp assembly itself which I'm trying to order in.

Please can anyone advise me if from the pictures i have attached (including the headlamp adjuster roller dial on side if dashboard) indicates it to be the Motorised type of headlamp levelling or the non-motorised/Hydraulic type?

Any advice here or ideas of how to determine which of the two types i need, would be so much appreciated!

Many Thanks :)

From the look of it you have halogen headlamp units - the adjuster dial on the dash and what looks like a vacuum pipe to the back of the headlamp is a give away.
If when you look through the lens of the headlamp it looks as if you have a glass ball or spherical lens inside it then they'll be halogen projector headlamps.
They're pretty simple units and so would only have wiring to the bulbs so I'm confused as to what circuitry has been fried.

Many thanks indeed it is the Halogen type, the wiring cables to the bulbs are very weak and have worn out in the old unit and the lamps would flicker on and off whilst driving - the car needs its yearly MOT (called an "ITV" in Spain) and was sure to fail this time round, so I yesterday managed to get LHS and RHS replacement pulled and pre-tested (Hella brand) units from a local breakers yard, at a mere 80€ for both, and they will be fitted later today or tomorrow - Fingers Crossed and many thanks once again for confirming they are the Halogen type!
