this morning i was moving the cars and i noticed the rev's where going mad up and down nlike a mad thing i was looking up and seen this could be cause by the MAF meter so is there any way i could check this out as i have some bog milage to do next week and dont want to be let down how long does it take for the MAF to go bad enough to stop the car running.

The MAF generally causes loss of power, the effect of this can be that the gearbox does not know what to do, and the car goes into the limp home mode, that is locked up in 2nd.


Disconnecting the MAF often proves the point
