Every So Often When I Press Brake Lightly The Car Brakes Hard..frightening Experience..like Its Locking..replaced Brake Pads Etc..still No Fix...it Doesent Happen All The Time..like A Bang And Then Drives On Any Ideas...?????

he TD version is different in that it uses a vacuum pump,,could the fault be there say with the one way valve 65 in the link

Someone asked the same thing about 17k post ago and it was recommended that they change this valve but they did not post back with the answer

Could it be the "Brake Assist" kicking in?? Does the car have Brake Assist?

That was me and so far I'm still living with it !. The problem only happens on start up in my case though
