Hi ladies and gents .

I want to change the oil and filters on my beast this weekend does any body know exactly how much oil the engine holds with a filter change as i dont want to put too much in  Also has anybody experienced an annoying water leak from the heat exchanger assembly on the left hand side of the engine before ? It looks like a lot of bother to strip it all down to me and mercedes wanted 300£ for a new one! I Think its some sort of rubber seal that fits between the two parts . I fixed it before by putting some additive in it which has lasted 8 month but now its leaking again

I think it's 7.5 ltrs

Definitely in that ball park. I suggest put 6.5 in, and then work from the dipstick, 250 ml at a time. Get it to the bottom mark, run the engine , check for leaks, shut off and check again on the stick. You'll find the filter will have swallowed some up. Remember final stick check when fully warm
