W210 E55 AMG: running costs?

Hi there I am considering one of these monsters as a change from my 320 cdi w210, as the prices are now more sensible to buy secondhand.

However the running costs are naturally a concern: rear tyres, MPG, relaibility etc.

Handling: Good? Is rear suspension deficient?

Just as prone to rust as the rest of the w210 range I presume?

Any owners out there can advise please?
