Hi All,

I have a 1998 W210 E55 AMG. I have just had the rocker cover gaskets and breather hoses replaced! But when opening the bonnet and removing the engine cover. I noticed a big empty space with a couple of cables that are loose/cable tied!

Any ideas on what is missing and where the cables go?

Many thanks,

Nik (MRN1K)

Hi Nick,

It appears that they have swapped whatever it was for a hand brush

On a serious note I didn’t think that anything is missing from there, have the same space on my SL500 from what I can remember.

On some vehicles there's an air pump located there (our E240 S210 has one). It's not present on all vehicles.

Lol Yes I was giving it a little clean as noticed some white residue! So I thought, lets give things a little clean!

Thank you, I got slightly worried!

Thank you! Do you feel it would help at all? Or just leave it as it is?

I would leave well enough alone. It's probably never had it.
Ok thanks! I will leave it.

Due to have all 4 window regulators replaced and both wing mirror glass are next to useless. So don't want to spend on unneccessary items.

Thanks for the advice!
