W210 Electric window

I have intermitant fault on o/s/f window when closing 95% time closes ok, but the other 5% stops half way up . After many minutes of operating switch I find if I push glass upwards gently window will close.No mechanical noises whilst operating, Ive reprorammed windows numerous times to no avail. Ive not yet removed door panel cos if I do that I can guarntee it will operate ok everytime. This problem occurs 3 or 4 times a week , its driving me nuts especially when the wife is out and I get a call" windows wont shut". Any ideas Im thinking off changing electric window control unit, believe one unit contains all 4 switchs

Try lubricating the window guide channels. (Silicone lubricant).

As Tom said, lubricate the window guide channels. This happens on my 2001 CLK and after lubricating them it's fine. The heat doesn't help so you might have to do it a few times before the end of summer.
