Hi all,
Common fault I guess but my folding mirrors are dying. One works eventually, the other gets about half way and gives up. When they are folded back, there is a black plastic cover that stops me getting to the mechanism. I imagine it's just a lubrication thing, so I was intending to give it all a good go with WD40, can I get the cover off, do I just blast everything I can get the tube to, or is there a more scientific method?

Great response!
Ok,
I blasted them with lubricant and worked them through for a few mins. The drivers side is fine, but the passengers now refuses to move at all. Anyone know if there is a service kit/replacement motor available or am I looking at £100+ for a new mirror assembly. I will probably just live with it as I hardly ever use it anyway, but if it's a cheapie ...
