W210 Glovebox removal

Can anyone offer any tips on the best method for pulling the glovebox out of the dash once all screws have been removed. I've read a few forum threads where they say it is a very hard pull but short of cutting finders to shreds, my technique is just not enough to pull it out of its position.

Grateful for any advice.

Ah... six screws ! I only found 4 screws plus one extra one holding the latch in place. I removed 2 at the top front corners of the box, 2 on the floor of the box hiden by blanking plugs and the one at top centre holding the latch.

Where are the other (s) lurking ?

the two other ones are either side of the light, if you use your fingers you'll locate some holes it the top of the compartment, just use a small screwdriver as there is not much room..
