Anyone have any experience with this? Went to install and seems like I need an adapter to hold the HID in place?

The stock retainer does not seem to fit on the new HID

Thank

HiDs in H7 headlights are illegal. You need the proper HiD headlight units.
H7 headlights on the W210 are reflector headlights and HiD conversions will not be properly corrected and controlled causing dazzle for other road users.

To maintain legal status you can only use H7 halogen bulbs in headlights designed for H7 bulbs. You may void your insurance fitting anything else.

Hi thanks for your reply. That was not my question. I have fitted custom projectors specifically for HIDS.

If you need a custom retainer for your custom projectors it says to me you are using H7s (the standard connector for the bulb is the retainer). Apologies if this is incorrect but maybe you can supply a picture of your custom projectors and the connector as it's obviously non-standard?

You will also need to install the OEM headlamp cleaner system, unless you are using lamps of below 2000 lumen, otherwise regardless of custom fit or not they’re still illegal.

And if the lamps you’re using are below 2000lm, then just buy Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited @ £20 a pair.
