How do I remove the heater panel fascia? The lights on the driver's side temp dial, the airflow direction control, and the recirculate button have all decided not to work.

Is this likely just a spike thats blown all those bulbs? Could this be related to my aircon problem?

Heater bulbs

Hi Parrot,

Had a similar problem on my C class 202., no lights on the air direction and temp controls. turned out the bulbs were OK, but the solder joints on the printed board that the bulb holders mount on were "dry". Easy to re solder.
Your 210 is different from the 202 but the usual access is remove radio, ash tray and look for screws holding the wooden panel in. The plastic housing for the rotary controls and temp. wheels is held in by 2 cross heads and some plastic clips.

Regards Peter

Hi Parrot
I sometimes have the same problem on my E210! Mine respond very nicely to a couple of sharp taps on the facia panel.
Its magic really couple of taps and hey presto lights.
Good Luck
