Having fitted a new MAF sensor I am still having problems with the running & performance of my car. Does anyone know if the plug-in connector on these cars give problems. Any info would be apreciated.

Assuming you mean the plug at the MAF sensor, no, they do not give problems.

Are you still getting a MAF sensor fault code??

The codes P2006 B17/8 Right Charge Air sensor, short circuit to positive or open circuit P0112.
P2004 B2/5 Hot Film MAF sensor, check sensor signal voltage P0101.
These codes have been present and cleared but have returned again. I was suspecting a fault in the wiring at the plug on the MAF

I have 2x questions...

Was it a genuine Bosch MAF sensor?
What are you reading the fault codes with? (the definitions are not quite right)

Any pattern sensor will always give trouble, so if it is a cheapy, replace with Bosch (cheapest from carparts4less, http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/engine-management-sensor )
Also, do check the wiring from sensor to ECU for chafes and pinches etc.

I am using a Snap-on Verlis diagnostic machine. The MAF I bought from Eurocarparts and is made by Bosch. I even emailed Bosch to ask if the ECU on my car would read this part correctly and they assured me that it should all be ok. I will check the wiring when, and if it stops raining!! Thanks for your help.

What live data do you get for MAF sensor voltage with engine not running, and at idle?

What live data do you get for intake air temp values?

Have you any other codes being logged?

Hi Alex,
I am unable to determine the voltages at the sensor as I haven't got the leads for the Verus. Looking through the diagnostic machine it does say to take back probing readings with the plug connected but I can't see how to get those readings without possibly breaking the sensor plug. Sadly a little knowledge is dangerous!! Thanks for your help though, it is much apreciated.
