Hey guys,
I've just had the cooling system pressure tested on my R230 and the aux pump is leaking (part A2308350264)..
I have a couple options:
* Buy the OEM part new for €250 from MB
* Buy an old one pulled out of something that was parted out etc for about €50.
It a very easy part to access and exchange and my decision hinges on whether or not this is a common part to fail or not.
If it is a common failure (car at 80k miles) then I'll spring for the OEM new, but if it's a freak failure on mine then i'll just pop in a used piece and see how long it goes.
Note that this piece isn't a critical part of the coolant system and is only powered on after the stops, very little coolant is lost from the leak, but I just noticed it a few times.
Any ideas?
