W210 radiator water (coolant) level

Most cars have a plastic overflow bottle with the MAX level clearly marked. In the W210 1998 E200, the overflow has a strong metal top. It is located to the left of the air filter compartment and I can not see any sign indicating the correct coolant level. Any ideas?

When you open the cap, there should be plastic lip inside the tank showing top level...
