W210 Windscreen wiper

I need to replace the rubber insert of the single wiper on my w210 . I understand that this was once possible but MB now tell you to replace the whole wiper. Does anyone have an answer?

I have a similar single wiper on my W202, and when I last replaced it in 2006 my Merc dealer sold me the wiper blade complete (not just the rubber). Around £12 - £15 if I remember rightly. No fiddling about and dead cinch to do.
Thought it was well worth it because the difference between the old and the new was very noticeable in terms of a clear windscreen.

I had mine replaced at the dealer twice. The first time they charged me £25 for a new blade. The scond time I was clever and asked for just the rubber. They charged me £5 for the rubber (result) and £20 to fit it (ahh).
Not sure if MB have stopped supplying the rubber but its probable that they are still available elsewhere.
