I've a 2009 W211 Sport, drivers side fascia vents dont seem to blow cool air but the passenger side does, its as if the air con isnt attached to the drivers side for some reason. Same prob no matter what temp the dials on either side are set to, any thoughts?
No cool air coming from the right hand rear passenger compartment vent either
Maybe a temp sensor inop on the drivers side? Any thoughts?

The heater change over valve can do this, about the only thing, it sits just near the steering column against the bulkhead

You can get plugged into STAR where the valve can be checked

As above. A star test would be a good idea to check no codes are stored first

So the man says it could be the duo valve, got MOT'd today, failed on a ball joint, asked about the duo valve replaced under warranty and was told it depends what the fault was when I take it back for a retest and they strip it out to find the problem :(

It is only a £35 heater change over motor, are you sure it is not just low on gas

My gas is low on my CL and it blows warm on the passenger side and sometimes cool on the drivers side. when the outside temp is under 21, both side maybe OK. I replaced my heater changeover valve to no avail.

Sage advice, I'll get me refrig checked over the weekend
Do we think that if the Duo valve needs replacing that it's a valid warranty claim?

Got the car back today after expecting the qualified Mercedes youth to whack the foo foo valve with his calibrated hammer whence the youth came back and said it just needed a recharge, so I guess Mr Tellyman you're right again, respect!
