My climate control on my 2005 E class was fine until today where upon it failed to cool the car properly.

Normally I have it set to 17c both sides and the car blows cold air fairly quickly out the vents initially to establish this cool air, then continues to blow moderately to maintain this artificially low temp.

Not so today, lots of noise (air blowing etc) but very little cool air coming out the vents. Even when i took manual control and made it blow as quickly as possible, still no real quantity of cool air. Turning off the a/c made no difference either.

It sounds like an aircon pressure check & re-gas is due.

I removed some old cardboard I found blocking the vent, it wasn't visible before and I hope this brings the car back to its former glory.

It just was blowing out so little air from the vents a/c on or off that I thought the vent must have been blocked.

Question is, how did some old cardboard get there :(
