My aircon doesn't seem to have been checked during last year's service and I realised with the hot weather this year that it isn't cooling.

My local garage filled said it was half empty and recharged the gas but since then the aircon off switch flashes which it's never done before.

Has anyone had this problem? Do I need to go back to Mercedes to reset the system?

If one suspects that their air con is not cooling too well, a re charge before the lamp comes on will avoid the use of STAR I think.

Well interestingly I rang my local dealership (who hadn't recharged the gas) and asked them if they could reset on Star and they said not before Friday and laughed when I said 'but it's only ten minutes.' I got the impression they weren't happy I'd gone to my local Citroen garage. But then when I went to actually start her up this morning it worked
. I guess the coolant needed to settle - like a fridge that's moved?
