Hi, this may be a stupid question, so please forgive me .
I have a 2005 E200 with I'm assuming is the Audio 20 with CD changer connected with fibre optic. I've looked at the after market head units, but to be honest, I'm kinda reluctant to mess with the originality of the car. I've seen some videos of hardwiring a bluetooth adaptor directly to the left/right AUX pins on the Audio 20 board.....so, my question....does anyone know if its possible to hardwire an Alexa Auto in the same fashion? My guess is it would provide Audio streaming snd phone functionality.....sort of . I know there are options to add OEM parts, however, given the age of the car I'm finding it difficult to justify the cost.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bill and welcome to the forum. I have a 2004 E240 and have kept the original head unit and replaced the hidden CD changer with a Bluetooth unit that allows you to connect your phone for music/podcasts and calls.
It was relatively easy to install and keeps the old school look of my E-Class.
I got my one here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124978427864
