hi I've just bought a late 2002 w211 e220cdi avantgarde with only a radio cassette(audio20),- fabulous car but I Cant believe no cd player. Have spoken to my local dealer and the list of parts for a cd changer is £512+vat and 3 hrs to fit.Seems best part of £1000. So can I change the head unit for the audio 20 cd player, there seem to be various for sale on Ebay 211 820 9889 this part was mentioned by the dealer but they couldnt say whether it would work!!!, recommending the multichanger as they had done those before, will this be a straight swap, or can I install an audio lead for ipod to this car? or both? Have the connectors changed or have they all stayed the same throughout production from 02-05 update spoken to another dealer they say new audio gateway is also needed?looks like cassette adapter for ipod

Hi,
The Audio20 CD should be a straight swap for your existing radio.
If you go the CD-Hanger route, you should go for the MC3330 model.
It is the latest one that is designed to work with the Audio20.
I have one for sale if you are interested much cheaper than the prices you quote.

I have an 04 W211 (or will soon) with an Audio 20 but also the 6cd in dash unit. I'd quite like to hook up an ipod too - anyone know if you can have the aux input too?

I've just got a W211 Eclass 2004 model. Did you manage to link your iPod to your Audio 20?
