W211 E class question

Hi all
New member here looking for some advice
I am looking to buy a W211 320 wagon and have about 5k to spend
They are quite rare but I have found one locally in good nick and it's having the air suspension done (both bags and compressor) plus wheel refurb, service and 2 new tyres before sale.
It's a 2009 model that's done 150k miles.. local small dealer wants 4500 for it.
Assume these can do big miles and that there's still a lot of life left in it?
Any issues I should be thinking about?

Like most things it’ll be service history that would make it a real consideration, check things like ATF being done every 40k, regular oil changes, then it’s just west and tear. If you can convince the seller to have it checked over at a local Mercedes independent, that should find any issues prior to committing the buy.

Big miles are common but as mentioned above it’s all about how well it’s been treated.

Sounds like a air suspension is taken care of. In addition to the above I’d just want to check the brakes and suspension as they are common wear and tear items that can cause mot failures. Lastly rust… consider things like mudguards, anti corrosion treatment etc.

Welcome to the forum. There are a fair few W211/S211 owners on the forum who are good for advice. I came to this forum in January when I was looking to buy mine.

Don't be put of by the miles on these, as long as its backed up with service history, buy on condition. I bought mine on 170k, it's now on about 215k.

Sounds like most the common things have been taken care of. Just listen for clunks and squeaks on the front end when you test drive it and check the rear arches for rust.
