Hi All,
I have been noticing a lack of boost when accelerating recently. I suspected a leak in the turbo air line and after bit of poking around, I found this metal pipe connected to the turbo which rattles around. It obviously has no seal. Does anyone know what is missing? A piece of rubber piping, ring seal?
Hopefully, finally a cheap fix for this beast.
Many thanks

Me -2019 GLC 350 coupe AMG line. Mrs- 1.2 vauxhall Corsa 2021 ,orange with a black roof. .
What's happened to the bolt that secures it? I had to put a Heli coil into mine , with the bolt secured you don't get any movement.

You should have a green o ring at the turbo end ,and a black o ring in the resonator end . eBay

I had to retap a thread , the original thread came out with the original bolt , possibly one of mercedes self tapping screws and hole as seen on thermostat housings. So I drilled out the hole ,tapped it and fitted a Heli coil . M6 . Keep the pipe pushed up as you tighten the bolt.

@graemew81 Silicon grease for the o-rings, especially the green one otherwise it is easy to kink and tear it. Some put two o-rings in to be safe. Definitely need the securing bolt though otherwise the effort will be wasted.

Heavy handedness if that's what's happening. I did both of mine , seems pretty straight forward tbh. Put the pipe over and push straight, don't go to an angle .

I do wonder if people put the o ring inside of the turbo pipe and try to fit , instead of putting it onto the turbo itself and then fit the pipe ??

All replaced today with new rings on both ends. Found a few extra points which are a bit of a worry, the support on the downpipe to the the intercooler is broken, which causes the pipe to move but I can't find the bolt required to secure the intercooler pipe.
I've secured with tie-wraps in the meantime while I continue my search.

Thanks for all of the advice

Just an update on this one. After replacing the seals, the car went into complete melt down a few weeks later. No boost at all, even on gentle acceleration.
Took it to my local MB specialist and he connected up to the diag port. Failed exhaust gas sensor ( up behind the turbo).
Replaced and now goes like a rocket
Happy days. I’m hoping that is the last of my garage bills for a good few months (48 would be nice). Spent a fortune on this car but still love it

If I remember that bolt is a mounting stud, for the engine cover to push on to.
A rubber underside of the engine cover would confirm.
