W211 E320 CDI. Troublesome but wouldnt be without it!

Hi all, Ive owned my 2005 W211 E320 cdi elegance estate for a couple of years now. Purchased as 'spares or repairs' due to a 722.6 gearbox issue. For the low money it was I thought I'd give it a go!. Anyway, a chineese conductor plate later, a fresh oil change and crossed fingers she ran like a dream.

She's been a little troublesome over the last 20,000 mls but what a car ! 16yrs old and still drives like a youngster.
I have to thank you guys for some great posts on here that have steered me in the right direction for a lot of the little niggles I've had.

Yes, I'm fortunate enough to have a four post ramp so it was a simple job really. I know that its a ball ache on your back without it! Thanks for the welcome

IL6 is generally more reliable than the V6, although it’s not as powerful

I had both and covered >100k miles in them.

Ive never driven the V6 actually. Thats be interesting
