W211 e320 gearbox/torque converter

Has anybody removed a gearbox and TC from a e320cdi,I’m looking for a bit of guidance please TIA

I have not on that model. Investigate the procedure. Someone with easy access to star xenty will likely provide a print out.or a link. Utube might be a good friend Gather all ur tools. Be prepared to take ur time. Maybe even walk away for an hr, mid strip and u will be fine when every I have to do something for first time I prepare and ensure there is no time pressure. It normally works out OK.
Mark, snap with mobile all electrical connections
Where ever possible put all fixing back in origional locations once components removed. Saves much head scratching of head on reassembly. Especially if any delays sourcing replacement pts.

V6 or iL6, I've done the iL6 and not really an issue, space is tight getting to the top bolts, though helps with the gearbox mount removed and prop out of the way. TC needs to be unbolted from the drive plate and removed with the transmission.

Helped do a CLK 4 pot . Wasn't that difficult from memory.

Just remember to install the TC with the gearbox and make absolutely sure the TC is fully engaged with the oil pump before putting it back together.

It’s the V6 I’m going to have to do it as it’s becoming undrivable lol
