I have recently acquired a 5 year old W211 E320 Avantgarde Estate which has started indicating a "Vehicle Level" malfunction warning (side profile of car graphic with upwards pointing arrow and "Visit Workshop" message) on an increasingly regular basis.
I took the car to Mercedes Benz of Glasgow yesterday who checked the component parts and could find nothing amiss. They then charged me £117-30 to re-calibrate the system and lo and behold, on switching on first thing this morning, "Vehicle Level" malfunction displayed again.

Has anyone who has experienced this malfunction managed to get it cured and if so what does that entail?

I think the first step is to ask Mercedes Benz of Glasgow to refund your money as they have obviously wasted it so far.

Sounds like an air leak,if its only happening when left over night, suggest leaving it with them.

A return to MB Glasgow is a given, but it would be nice to be pre-armed with some suggestions as to where they go to next.

Malfunction didn't only appear overnight, first time it came on mid-journey and since then has apppeared after parking with engine still running.

Mine was down at the back MB changed the pump (£450) and it's fine now. My wallet isn't though!
