W211 Estate tailgate adjust

Hello,

Can you please tell me how to adjust the tailgate on my E320 Estate. It is flush fitting on the near side (in the area of the E320 badge/rear lights) but proud on the off side (in the area of the CDI badge/rear lights). This may be the cause of my rattle as the door isn't being pulled down fully.

In conjunction with roofless post,you slacken the striker plate in the floor and move it inward slightly till it is flush after you have set the stops

Can you provide a little more detail about how to slacken the striker plate and about the stops?

ps, bought some Ankaa wheels from Nick at Euromerc (nice guy). In refurb at present having a powder/wet paint combination to ovecome the lifting laquer issue - I'll let you know the results.

I need to adjust the striker plate but,I can't get the chrome strip. Can anyone explain how to do this please.
