My led mirror glass is cracked, do you have to replace the full led insert or can the outer glass be replaced on its own. Is it easy to remove from mirror - i dont have a clue how to remove it from the mirror? Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

the casing needs to be removed to unscrew the indicator, there is a release tab in side, needs mirror folding to access release tab, mercedes only sell the complete led unit, about £15 iirc,

I have a S 320 CDI 2001 reg. I have broken the drivers mirror, having been told a wide flat wooden spoon under it and it pops out, it dosent but the mirror brakes.
I have a new one on order electric heated etc. How can I get the old one out and 'POP' the new one in- The OPassenger side is easy- Thanks to any one please. Barry
